"The terminological part of the publication provides about 100 selected entries from the core terminology of the subject area, addressing the language pair German – English. The author considers individual aspects and specific details of the technical language of glass manufacturing and describes the structure of the terminological database. Furthermore, the publication includes a general survey on the topic of glass giving special attention to borosilicate glass, industrial manufacturing of glass and issues of quality assurance in glass production.
The paper intends to allow for basic orientation in the subject area, especially for translators and interpreters, technical writers or marketing and sales experts working in the field of glass."
